One of the most talked-about events in Orlando during the winter is Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. 

This event takes place at Magic Kingdom at Disney World. However, you'll need to pay for a regular entrance and then a ticket to the event. This is a special party that is held after hours, so you'll have smaller crowds and all kinds of special entertainment.

Some of the entertainment includes live shows with Christmas music, gingerbread cookie bars, and beautiful Christmas decorations.

You can also meet your favorite characters and take pictures with them. Some people also get in the festive spirit and dress up as well.

2. Visit Universal Resort

While Disney might be a great theme park to visit, you should also check out Universal Resort.

When you go to Universal, you'll have all kinds of holiday events to kick off at Christmas. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter also gets decorated for the holidays as well. 

You'll be able to visit the Grinchmas even from November to early January as well. 

If you're looking for a New Year's Party, you can go to the Universal Citywalk for their famous EVE party. 

3. Seaworld's Christmas Celebration

Seaworld decorates over 100 trees for their Christmas celebration, and they also have a 70-foot tree above the water.

They end each night with their firework show, which is timed to holiday music. 

If you love Sesame Street, then you'll love their parade with Ernie, Bert, Elmo, and Cookie Monster. There is also a Wish Show where people can help Elmo find a wish. 

There's also Rudolph's ChristmasTown, where you can immerse yourself in the story of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. There's also an outdoor ice skating rink. 

You can do this from November through early January, and part of their events are included in the admission to the park.

4. Gatorland

For a true Florida experience, you should visit Gatorland. The locals love this area. 

This is a great way to experience the sunshine and also get a thrill. You'll get to zip line over a pond of alligators and see some of the biggest reptiles. 

During Christmas, the exhibits are decorated, and you can feel the winter spirit in a unique Florida way.

Gatorland is also great because it's focused on helping conserve alligators in Florida. This is a great way for Florida gators to have a home with keepers who can keep them safe and healthy. 

5. Ice Skating

It can be hard to get into the Christmas spirit because o the Florida weather, but you can still go ice skating. 

You can go on the I-drive to visit the outdoor skating rink. This is set up in the winter months, and you won't have to worry about the ice melting.

You could also go to an indoor ice skating rink at the RDV Sportsplex. This is an Olympic-sized ice rink, and there are a lot of public skate sessions.

6. Christmas at Gaylord Palms

If you're traveling in 2021, you'll get to enjoy an Elf-themed experience at the Gaylord Palms. They put on a show and interactive exhibit each year. 

You'll be able to follow Elf to the North Pole and New York City. You'll have to get enough Christmas cheer to power the Kringle 3000, which can help Santa's sleigh fly again. 

There are a lot of great opportunities for photos along the way. You'll be able to even recreate the famous snowball fight scene. 

In addition to all of this, you can enjoy a lot of Christmas tres, musical performances, and acrobatics. It starts in mid-November and goes through early January. This experience is also open to guests who don't stay at the hotel.

7. Enjoy Christmas Decorations

If you want a cheaper holiday event to do, you can walk around the different looks and see the Christmas decorations. 

Orlando has all kinds of great neighborhoods that get decorated each year. They also have a unique architecture, which can help add to the holiday season.

If you go north of downtown, you should visit Winter Park. There are always beautiful holiday decorations in this area, and you'll be able to stroll down the streets and see it all. You could also visit Disney Spring if you don't want to pay for a ticket to go to Disney. 

This is a great way to enjoy some good restaurants, shop for Disney merch, and see some of the Disney holiday magic.
